Scott Guyor, 16 Point, Lyons, NY NEW!
|
Welcome to New York Scott! While most of us dream of going to the Mid-West to kill nice bucks, Scott Guyor decided to turn the tables and show all the New York
big buck whiners and cryers (like us) how it is done. Hailing from Chelsea, Michigan, Scott took this monster 16 point on the 2nd day of gun season in Lyons, New York.
It was the first time he ever hunted in New York.

Chris Van Schaick, 7 Point, Bloomfield, NY NEW!
|
Some people are just blessed. As if a dandy 8 pointer on opening day wasn't enough, Chris took this nice 7 point on next to the last day of muzzleloader season.
Like the first buck, Chris passed on this one too only to get another crack at him a couple days later.

Mike Sweet's Dandy 8 Point
|
One Sweet Buck! Taken in the last hour of the last day of bow season, Mike was right in the middle of a trophy buck fight. He decided to play referee and
pulled out his bleat n heat call to break up the ruckus and pull this guy right his way. Mike is good friends with Brian Ameigh who took a Boone and
Crockett bear, a nice 8 point, and a doe from this very same stand. Talk about a hot set-up!

Jon Mecca's Big 13 Point Buck, Evans, NY
|
Joe Mecca downed this 13 point big buck on November 21, 2007 in Evans, NY in a downpour. Who says you shouldn't hunt in the rain? If you are a college student, like Joe,
you may not have any choice. At 225 pounds with 27" beams and a 22.5" inside spread, we would say Joe found the Mecca of all places to hunt deer - literally.
Joe will also be getting a free mount compliments of his Father. We're sure he's proud and congrats on a fine buck!

Cody Buehler's Monster 14 Point Bow Buck, Moravia, NY
|
As Cody states, "I was hunting at my grandparents land in Moravia, NY and the whole idea there is QDM. The die-hard Quality Deer Management my grandparents and uncle have held to
over the years have produced this buck along with many up-and-comers". You hear that Mr. DEC man? Check out this monster buck that
Cody Buehler was able to snort wheeze in to range.

Todd Keppler - One Fine "Tail-Light" 8 Point, East Aurora, NY
|
Todd could not talk himself out of a ticket. Thank god he did not talk himself out of taking this dandy 8 point. The Empire Hunting faithful appreciate it!
As Todd says, "Some thing are just meant to be". We are half tempted to pay is fine. Way to go Todd on one of the nicest 8 points you will ever see taken
in New York. That is one fine buck (pun intended)!

Rocco DiRosa - Broome County 14 Point
|
Rocco DiRosa rocked Broome County on the Saturday opener with a monster 14 point estimated to score around 180 (official score is on the way). While there is a lot
of gun season to go, it could be the largest buck taken in New York with a firearm this year.

Clay Hillegeer - Dandy 8 Point
|
This 8 pointer was taken on the evening of Oct. 27, 2007 in Honeoye NY in the 8H area. On this night, as I was walking into my stand, I jumped 3 does just before
getting into my hang on stand so I was already a little nervous of my chances of success not to mention the 30 mph winds. After passing a smaller buck, this
big boy came from the bedding area. I put my binoculars on him at about 50 yards off in the woods and saw a nice rack but I wasn't sure how nice he was but I
knew he was a shooter.

Wiktor Strikes Again!
|
After setting a New York State Record in the Non-Typical cateogry in 2006, he's back. Corey took this 140 class Non-Typical buck
on Thursday, October 18th. A very warm day in which he caught this 6 1/2 year old buck out tending a doe. Coined the "PegLeg" buck
because of one abnormal hoof, he was able to get a shot off at 30 yards for his second entry in as many years in to the Empire
Bucks Club.

Frank Degennaro's 2007 Black Bear
|
The Bear was taken opening day of Archery season in the afternoon. I had seen the Bear earlier that day without a shot. I was hoping to see him again in the afternoon,
as he was keeper. In the afternoon, I saw him again and had him within 35 feet of me, but I couldn't get a shot on him because he would not turn broad side.....
