It is hard to imagine what deer hunting must have been like in 1939 which was the first year New York offered a regulated deer season after prohibiting deer hunting for many years. There must have been a few monsters walking around as the New York Non-Typical Gun Record to date was also taken in the exact same year just a stones throw away in Burns, New York.

The Luckey Buck is fascinating in it's symmetry. It does have 14 6/8 of deductions but consider the fact that half of that 14 6/8 is from an abnormality on it's Left G3 tine. That leaves around 7-8 inches of deductions for the rest of the measurements.
