RibCage's Sheds Found
2008 and 2006 Sheds detailed below

We told you Corey Wiktor was a big buck magnet. Apparently that does not wear off when deer season ends. Check out these dandies from a buck he named RibCage. 13" G2s and bases flirting with 6". He also has a picture of his sheds from 2006. We will see Corey with this buck again - this fall.

From Corey
Ribcage has been the most elusive deer on our hunting ground for the past 3 to 4 years, he's seen maybe once or twice a season, that is it. I have two sets of horns (sheds) and two different trail cam pictures (separate years), all that is missing is his mount......though some warriors are never meant to be harvested. Don't you just love this sport!

2008 Sheds
Was lucky to find RibCage's sheds this year. This is the second set I have of this buck. First set I found was in February 2006, scoring 173 and change. This set with an 18 inch spread is close to 164. 6x5, though one tine is broken off. Offically scores at 163 6/8 INCHES. THIS SET HAS AMAZING TALL TINES. MEASURING 13 2/8 AND 13 1/8 INCHES (bladed G'2s almost 2 inches wide!). BASES MEASURING 5 5/8 AND 5 6/8 INCHES. THIS SET IS VERY IMPRESSIVE. UNFORTUNATLEY IT HAS A BUSTED BROW AND A CHIPPED OFF BEAM ONE THE RIGHT ANTLER. IF NOT IT WOULD EASILY SCORE IN THE 170'S. Note this pic was taken on a single bed, look how much room they take up! Just a monster of a buck. This is my second largest set of sheds I have ever found.

No doubt he is close to 7 1/2......Heavy horned deer. Would love to see this guy in the fall!!!!

2006 Sheds
I found this set on February 3, 2006. The picture does little justice to these sheds, as they score just a touch over 173 (given an 18 inch spread). Just a giant of a buck, we think at 4 1/2 years old.

Notice the crab claw on the left antler, as well as the way his antlers "lay down", versus stick upright (comparisons to 2006 sheds and 2008 sheds). This set is huge, the G's are almost 14'' long! Of course with age (as this set was found on a rainy Saturday morning in February in a food plot), this buck has lost tine length (not by much) but has increased in size and mass and has grew some stubby points. Just an amazing creature, I can't imagine what he will look like this year.

Thanks Guys. Rob, found them about 75 yards apart. Same run. Found on side of steep ravine loaded with Hemlock's and crab apples, plus on hte south facing slope. Can't beat that mix for looking for sheds. Thanks aagin.

Thats amazing Corey. Congrats. I know the thrill and excitement of finding sheds like this. When I lived out West I did a lot of shed hunting. Finding a big set was almost (I said almost) as good as killing a huge buck. It is an exciting feeling when you look up and see a set laying there.

Were they laying right together?
