About Me

I live in Hemlock, NY where I operate my business and some hunting when I have time.  I built this Website because I thought it would be fun to do and no one had taken it upon themselves to build a community for New York Hunters.  I want to personally thank everyone who has participated and been so supportive.  I appreciate your comments and I am glad you enjoy Empire Hunting.

As far as my background, I went to CCFL for about 5 things and 5 years before graduating with degrees in Liberal Arts and Environmental Conservation.  I still say that some of the best education that I received was from CCFL especially the environmental services department.  Bill Banazewski, Frank Smith, Chris White, and Bruce Gillman were some of the best professors I have ever had and they made me well prepared for the waiting job world.

I then worked heavily in the environmental field for a few years including a private ag consulting company in Newark, NY, Cattaraugus County Soil & water District, Idaho Fish and Game, and the United States Forest Service in McCall Idaho.   I then returned to college at the University of Idaho for Geographic Information Systems.  While enrolled, I fell in to Web development and started my own company - TConsult, Inc. (Website is currently being re-designed).  I have been an independent Web developer since that time concentrating on data driven Websites with Microsoft technologies.

As many of my clients have told me, I do not remind them of a programmer.  That is the best compliment I have probably ever received.  In December 2000 I moved back to the Finger Lakes region of New York because I missed it so much.  The Western United States is great during hunting season but it can be rather bland the rest of the year.  I never did get an elk.  I did not have much time to hunt them.  Deer, turkey, and a couple of bears was about it.

I am originally from Wellsville, NY and now reside in Hemlock, NY.
