These people do not get enough credit and their non-profit service is nothing short of rewarding. These people should be put in the deer hunting hall of fame. Charles Alsheimer predicted that the rut would happen this week. That kept me out there hoping to get lucky enough to find the right doe with the right buck. I hammered this dandy 10 point on Tuesday afternoon (11/18). 15 minutes after shooting a doe, I walked right up to it in it's bed.

Mike Ryder stayed in his tree stand on opening day just long enough to take this nice 9 point. After getting soaking wet and deciding to finally get out of his tree, he only got down it half way when this guy came along.

Mark Offen: Monster Bucks in 23 Minutes

Mark Offen didn't hunt often this year. He didn't have to. Hunting in Canadice, NY, he took this dandy 12-point buck on November 8th with his bow. It was Marks first time out this year and his first buck ever. Up the tree at 6:59 and dead on the ground at 7:22. Nothing wrong with that.

Gregg Taylor sat in his stand all day to arrow this heavy Sullivan County 8-pointer on November 1 of the 2008 archery season. He also has a nice license plate that many New York deer hunters will appreciate.
