Green Score: 224
I killed this deer on November 20th with my muzzleloader. I put countless hours
during archery season and saw him once but he was too far. I had him green scored
at 224. My best buck too date.
Back in june we purchased a new trail camera and placed it around a bean field.
Expecting to see small bucks and does we were amazed when this buck appeared in
our pictures. We ended up getting over 20 pictures of him from june to august. My
wife and I hunted him hard with bow to see him once at 45 yards on a doe. The next
time we would see him is on November 20. I planned on hunting hard for that buck
late muzzleloader hoping to catch him coming to food. On Tuesday, November 20th
I set out to shoot a doe with my muzzleloader. After sitting for a couple of hours
I saw a doe heading to a wheat field. I raised my muzzleloader and was getting ready
to shoot when I noticed movement behind her, I could see his droptine it was him.
I shot him at only 30 yards and hit him in the spine. After the smoke cleared he
was rolling around so I finished him off. He has 22 scorable points, and weighed
about 190. He's being officially scored at the time. Truly an amazing deer.

if this is the same, non-typical, 22 point muzzle loader buck, He's the best gun buck of 2007 in New York state. I don't think that there are many 22 point, 220 inch muzzleloader bucks being shot. Congrats!!

Keith--I am pretty sure that is the deer I was after too. To bad you shot him with a gun and not a bow. That would have been a beautiful bow kill. I really didn't like the long eye guards on the buck.
