The vote will decide a number of different firearm range regulations including noise, distance to private property, and hours of operation.

We have been sent this picture a few times. We first received it on August 2, 2008. Yet, we keep getting emails and seeing postings on our Website (and others) that it was killed in various places in Pennsylvania and New York. Of course, each time we hear of it, the mountain lion was killed yesterday, last week, two weeks ago, etc...

The Feral Pig Problem in Central New York

This comes from WSTM, which we believe is based in Syracuse. According to the article, Central New York is facing a Feral Pig (Wild Boar) epidemic. The DEC will begin trapping and removing Feral Pigs from the Central New York area. The article also states that there is open season on Feral Pigs in New York - unlimited harvesting.

Lower the hunting age in New York? How about lowering the hunting age and teaching hunter education in school. That is what West Virginia is trying to do. New York has a hunting age much higher than West Virginia but what if we taught hunter education in school? What if we lowered the age and taught it in school? What do you think?
