Lost my wedding band in the woods the day before the opener. Went to Bass Pro and bought a metal detector. That was a waste of time. Needless to say this season did not start off to well. Although I shot a doe sunday morning, so maybe it will get better. Also saw button buck, 4 point, and a 6 pt.  Alot of action for the first weekend.

Sorry to hear about the wedding band, lost mine last year. Not during hunting season, but right after we acquired another Lab. I swear she ate it, she would eat everything as a pup.

I consider it a successful hunting experience every time I'm out and see lots of action like you described. Sounds like you have some good potential future bucks on your property or hunting spot. Congrats on the doe, good eating!

Did the old lady flip out or did she appreciate the venison?

Reminds me of my favorite bumper sticker:

Got a new hunting rifle for my wife - good trade huh?

Don't know why I thought of that.

The secret to never loosing your wedding band is to consistently gain a few pounds each year. I'm married 11 years now, that sucker's on there.

Ok, from experience, I lost mine once while rummaging thru a rubbermaid storage tote! It slid off & I never noticed. I swore I lost it in Home depot, and believed it for 2 years! When I found it, you could have blown me over..
