Empire Home >> Hunting FAQ >> Caliber Restriction on Rifles for Big Game Hunting in New York
|
At the time this FAQ was written, New York does not have a caliber restriction on rifles used for deer in areas where rifles are allowed.
There is also no restriction for other big game hunting. The DEC Website says "any centerfire rifle" is allowed.
* Please not this DOES NOT include muzzleloaders which must be a minimum of .44 caliber.
