I got this deer on Shelter Island, New York on 11/14/07@710am . I didnt get into
my stand till 630 am. As I was walking to the stand I spooked 4 does. I get in the
tree and I didnt even have my bow up yet and I had a 4 pointer come through. Then
I had a spike, a small 6 and a small seven point come through and this was all before
7:00. I didnt see anymore deer for about 15 minutes. I saw this guy running in my
direction and hop a fence grunting. He came within 15 yards of my tree and it took
me 2 hours to find him. It is THICK on shelter island. For those who dont know where
shelter island is - it is between the north and south fork of long island.
