Maybe it has to do with population why Midwest States have more trophey deer.Just a quick google search shows NY has 800,000 deer and Wis has 1.6-1.7 million deer.Also look at the states sq miles 54,475 square miles (includes water) to Wis 65,503 square miles (includes water). I really think the numbers explain the big difference

Thank you.There is nothing better then hunt whitetails in NY.I really think we have some of the best hunting for Whitetails anywheres.At one time I always though the grass was greener somewheres else, until I took some time and check out my family's land.I have taken some awesome deer on my family's land.
