Update 02/28/10 - Bjorn's NT from Dick Johndrow, NYSBBC Measurer Chairman
Bjorn's NT Long Island buck was paneled scored on Feb. 27. The original score of 202-5/8 was confirmed. The 20 point rack has 55 2/8 inches of abnormal points. The left antler has a NT point that is 20 inches long. Buck was aged at 6 1/2 years old according to his teeth. Weighed in close to 200 lbs.

Finding a number of large rubs the day before, Bjorn Holubar put up a stand and was able to grunt the buck in the next afternoon (October 26, 2009). NYSBBC Measurer Chairman Dick Johndrow scored the buck the week of January 18th, 2010 at Johndrow's residence in Ticonderoga. It took Johndrow 3 hours to score the buck.
While the buck has been officially scored, it must go through a panel review in March before it can be officially added to the NYSBBC.

* As of right now, this will be the largest buck for New York for the entire 2009 deer season. But the deadline to claim that honor is May 1, 2010.
* Pending someone bringing something larger to the table prior to May 1, 2010, Holubar's buck will be the #2 non-typical archery buck all time in New York and the overall #20 non-typical all time pending a final panel review by the NYSBBC in March. All bucks entered in to the NYSBBC that approach record status are required to be panel reviewed.
* Initial reports after the harvest had the buck sporting 4 main beams. The buck actually has 2 normal main beams. What was initially reported as 3rd and 4th beams were determined to be non-typical points with the longest measuring 20". Johndrow sent pictures of this to Reneau and he confirmed that they are non-typical points and not beams.
* Holubar's buck is a true giant missing Mark Surdi's New York State Non-Typical Archery Record of 1996 by just under 3".
* You will notice there are 8 5/8" of deductions. Non-typicals can have deductions based on the main frame of the buck. Essentially, every buck is a main frame something (4x4, 5x5, etc....) The differences in the main frame of a non-typical are deducted and then all abnormal points are lumped back on top of that number.
* Field & Stream has a nice article on their Website about the buck complete with 17 pictures and the entire story of the harvest
