The following are the ARCHERY deer harvest numbers for the 2006 deer season.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT THE ARCHERY TAKE
The State of New York DOES NOT differentiate seasons in which DMPs were used.
Thus, the actual number of anterless deer taken in archery season is always going to be
higher than the numbers that were released. Antlerless deer in the harvest report were put on the:
- Either Sex Tag OR
- Antlerless Tag
If an archery hunter used a DMP during archery season then that deer is counted in the DMP group.
The DMP group is not split up by method of take. The season in which a DMP was used is not taken
in to account when the State analyzes harvest data or sets their DMP quota.
The good news is they do have that data but we don't know if we can get it.
